Services/Free Lesson 

OnPoint School offers beginner to advanced level music, dance, drama and art lessons online or in-person. 

Whether you want to compete, perform before audiences, feel a sense of accomplishment or just want to enjoy learning one of On Point’s offered disciplines, we have the expertise to help you plan and achieve the goal of your choice.  

We are confident you will love our services. In fact, your first 20-minute lesson is free so you can decide for yourself.     

Teaching Strategy 

We pride ourselves on making the lessons fun, motivating and encouraging so that you leave wondering how the time went by so fast. We employ significant patience and a variety of teaching techniques to help you fully grasp each concept. We then build on previous concepts so that you leave each class with a sense of accomplishment and movement toward your goal. Finally, we never forget that each student is unique, so we use teaching techniques best suited for that learner, whether in a group or private lesson.  

Studio 

While we value the online experience, we encourage each student to try at least one in person class per month at our spacious and conveniently located studio in Houston, TX. There are tips we can demonstrate in person that are difficult to do online. In addition, we would love for parents and students to enjoy free snacks and family friendly television in the lounge area while getting to know one another and the staff. You never know if a lifelong friendship will be formed while spending time in the lounge. 

There is a large open section of studio space available for rent to dance, sing and band groups, and others needing fine arts related space by the hour. See cost chart below and a picture of the space in the photo gallery.

Location/Schedule 

We offer online or in person lessons at our conveniently located studio in central Houston.  

TUITION/STUDIO RENTAL 
Group In-Person - $37.50 Per Person Per Lesson 

Group Online - $37.50 Per Person Per Lesson 

Group lessons are 50 minutes long

Studio Space Rental - $100 Per Hour 

PRIVATE LESSONS 

Private In-Person - $37.50 Per Lesson 

Private Online - $37.50 Per Lesson 

Private lessons are 25 minutes long 

All music lessons are scheduled for Monday-Friday group or private between 3:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. 

Dance, Art, and Drama classes are scheduled for Saturday's, group classes only, between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Phillip Spiller received his B.A. in Music from Texas Southern University with a minor in Speech Communications in 2005. Since graduation, he has taught in public and private schools and has played significant roles in developing successful drumline programs and performances for these institutions.   

  

Phillip’s extensive fine arts teaching experience has helped refine his skill for identifying talent. He is now using his ability to recognize a child’s unique abilities and work with their parents to develop it to full potential. This coaching helps your child to have a positive influence on everyone around them. For example, your child’s natural skill for encouraging others is noticed and developed through On Point's Drama School. The student auditions and lands a movie role that inspires those who might abandon school to complete their education. The movie and subsequent television interviews allow the former student to use his/her natural talent to encourage tens of thousands of people. Similar scenarios would apply to musicians, singers, dancers and artists we all know.
